Weather Reporter Casual Unpaid (Volunteer)
The Weather Reporter at DovaFM plays a key role in delivering accurate and timely weather updates to our audience. As an integral part of our team, you will help listeners prepare for daily weather conditions and significant weather events.
The Weather Reporter will have responsibilities that include:
- Monitoring and analyzing weather data to provide accurate forecasts and updates for the local area.
- Presenting weather reports during live broadcasts and on digital platforms, using engaging visuals and clear communication.
- Collaborating with meteorological agencies to ensure access to the latest weather information and alerts.
- Developing weather-related content, including features on seasonal changes and safety tips during severe weather.
- Engaging with listeners through social media, encouraging feedback and sharing weather-related inquiries.
We’re looking for a dedicated weather enthusiast who enjoys educating and informing the community about the ever-changing weather!
Job Requirments
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a strong understanding of meteorological concepts.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings, especially during severe weather events.
- Familiarity with weather monitoring tools and software; experience in radio or broadcasting is a plus.
- Ability to remain calm and articulate during breaking weather events, conveying important information clearly.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for sharing weather knowledge with the community.
